James C. Foley, Jr. represents a wide variety of clients providing services to individual and corporate clients in the fields of civil litigation (personal injury, construction disputes, landlord/tenant matters, real property disputes, and collection matters), family law litigation, corporate organization, commercial and residential real estate transactions, estate and probate matters.
Jim was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy, serving as a pilot from 1981 to 1987, at which time he entered law school at Southern Methodist University. Jim began his law career as an associate at the law firm of Jenkens & Gilchrist in Dallas, Texas. In 1993, he joined the law firm Deppman & Foley, P.C. (now operating as Lynch & Foley) and was appointed partner in 1997.
Outside the office, Jim actively contributes to the Addison County community, whether coaching peewee football or Little League baseball, flipping burgers at the Addison County Fair and Field Days for the Lions Club, serving on the board of the Lake Dunmore Fern Lake Association, or contributing to many local charities. In his free time, he enjoys a wide variety of sports with his wife, children, and friends. When not competing around New England in USTA (United States Tennis Association) League Tennis, in platform tennis tournaments, or on the ballfield for the Firm's softball team, he and his wife can usually be found telemark skiing at Mad River Glen, snowshoeing with their two Bernese mountain dogs, waterskiing the slalom course on the waters of Lake Dunmore, or lately, golfing on some nearby course.
